Some people said I needed to do more clickbait stuff. Others said I have big Hbomb energy. I combined them together, and created: plagarism* Others say the intro is still going. They were right then, and they're right now. This was fun to make. I can see why people do it. Please never ask me to make clickbait again. It makes me feel dirty. I was too far into the "joke" around doing a clickbaity title and ripping off hbomb that by the time I realised it was a mistake it was too late, and the infinitely better titles suggested by my Patreons couldn't be used because half the video wouldn't make sense. The joke has only become more of a mistake as time marched forwards Also there's a lot of audio and footage chopping, which frustrates me. The HD file of this is 20GB. The UHD file was 80GB. Davinci Resolve was having NONE of it, and then the credits were screwy so I had to delete the old video. But despite it being unlisted and not sharing a link, 6 of yous saw it before I took it down to upload a corrected version! What's going on there, YouTube?! Half-Life was incredibly popular in 1998 (and still is I'd say). But you should also try out Black Mesa, as it's just as good, if not better than the original. They really did a lot with this game, and it shows, considering it's been in development for more than 10 years. If you enjoyed the original Half-Life, I really recommend you try out Black Mesa. It can be summed up as: Half Life if it was made in the modern age. Black Mesa has massive changes to the original, and whether you like them or not is up to you. After a long period of development, the final 1.0 version of Black Mesa has been released today, a full-fledged fan remake of Half-Life 1. Half-Life was released in 1998 and is considered a milestone in shooter history due to its scripted storytelling. It's impressive what hobby developers have done with the remake: all assets and environments have been rebuilt and some new features like a new physics engine have been added; and at the same time they stayed very close to the events and sequences of the original story. Too many uninspired remakes and remasters are released these days, but Black Mesa is a great example of how you can re-release an old game with great attention to detail and thus satisfy old fans as well as gain new ones. I think it's clear by this point, I've become a HUGE Half-Life fan. In 2015, the amazing Half Life 1 game was remade/upgraded in new software - and I'm ready to come FULL CIRCLE on the channel to experience this masterpiece again for the first time in Black Mesa. If you're looking for a speedrun, this is not for you - but if you're looking for a great time, loads of laughs, someone who is constantly distracted by the beauty of the environment, and jumpscares far too easy... you're gonna love this!
