Last time I had to use the kamehameha weapon to cut the plane with a laser ... but now that we have the ultimate cutting power of the katana, it's perfect for the job. I particularly enjoyed cutting the plane into tiny cylinder shapes like hockey pucks! It's so fun. Nothing stands in its way. The plane had been in the air for a mere 25 seconds when the pilots noticed weird noises and vibrations. They tried several ways to improve the situation, but nothing worked. And just over a minute into the flight, when the plane reached 3,000 feet, both engines failed: first, the right one; two seconds later, the left one. An AirAsia X flight to Malaysia from Perth, Australia, was forced to turn back Sunday after the A330 aircraft began shaking due to what the airline called a "technical issue." CNN's Dave Briggs reports.
A DHL cargo jet broke in half after sliding off the runway as it made an emergency landing in Costa Rica. San Jose’s international airport was closed after the accident which saw the pilot and co-pilot evacuated unharmed. The plane was heading to Guatemala when it suffered a failure of its hydraulic system causing the pilot to request an emergency landing back at the airport. After all, it wasn't a requirement, and they didn't have to do it. - The length of the missing part was 18.5 ft long, and that was the aircraft skin that covered the plane from the cockpit back to the fore-wing area. - The plane started to roll from side to side, and it was becoming increasingly harder to control. Everybody who was in the cockpit immediately put on their oxygen masks, and the captain took over the aircraft. - All three flight attendants were standing along the aircraft aisle. The one who was the closest to the front of the plane was swept out through the hole in the roof. - But the problem was at that time, in case of emergency, the airport control tower had to dial 911 just like anyone else. l - As the plane was approaching the runway, the left engine failed, and the aircraft started rocking and shaking. The captain made an attempt to restart the engine but didn't succeed. - Everyone on the plane, except for the flight attendant who had been pulled out of the plane, was alive, although 65 people were injured. Most people had been hurt by flying debris and torn pieces of fuselage. - During one interview that followed the accident, passenger Gayle Yamamoto remembered that she had spotted a crack in the fuselage when she was boarding. Unfortunately, she was the only one who had seen this damage, and the woman hadn't thought that the crack was important enough to inform the crew. V 22 Osprey - Half Plane Half Helicopter The V-22 Osprey is a joint service multirole combat aircraft utilizing tiltrotor technology to combine the vertical performance of a helicopter with the speed and range of a fixed-wing aircraft. With its rotors in vertical position, it can take off, land and hover like a helicopter. Once airborne, it can convert to a turboprop airplane capable of high-speed, high-altitude flight. This combination results in global reach capabilities that allow the V-22 to fill an operational niche unlike any other aircraft. The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey is an American multi-mission, tiltrotor military aircraft with both a vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL), and short takeoff and landing (STOL) capability. It is designed to combine the functionality of a conventional helicopter with the long-range, high-speed cruise performance of a turboprop aircraft. The V-22 originated from the United States Department of Defense Joint-service Vertical take-off/landing Experimental (JVX) aircraft program started in 1981. The team of Bell Helicopter and Boeing Helicopters was awarded a development contract in 1983 for the tiltrotor aircraft. The Bell Boeing team jointly produce the aircraft. The V-22 first flew in 1989, and began flight testing and design alterations; the complexity and difficulties of being the first tiltrotor intended for military service in the world led to many years of development. The United States Marine Corps began crew training for the Osprey in 2000, and fielded it in 2007; it supplemented and then replaced their Boeing Vertol CH-46 Sea Knights. The Osprey's other operator, the U.S. Air Force, fielded their version of the tiltrotor in 2009. A plane broke into pieces after skidding off an airport runway in Istanbul, Turkey. The Pegasus airplane was carrying 177 people and set off from Izmir. Emergency services took those who were injured to hospital and evacuated remaining passengers onboard. Authorities said the incident was a result of bad weather.
