Make sure your passport has not expired and confirm that it has an electronic NFC chip embedded in the cover, which is usually identified by an e-Passport gold square symbol on the front cover, located under the country of origin. If it doesn’t have a NFC chip, you will not be able to enroll your passport on the app. Please use a driver's license. Next, check your mobile device Settings to allow the app access to the camera and NFC chip reader. How to add a passport: 1. Find a stable, well-lit environment to avoid distortion or glare on the passport. Try to avoid metal or glass tabletops. 2. Remove any external covers or holders from your passport. 3. Open the app and tap the IDs tab from the bottom navigation bar, then select Add ID (iOS) or the + button (Android). 4. Select Add Passport. 5. Using the camera, align the MRZ (Machine-Readable Zone) code at the bottom of the passport in the drawn field on the app. 6. When the code is correctly positioned, the field color will turn green. 7. Using the NFC chip reader, place the phone directly on the passport’s electronic chip, which is normally embedded in the front or back cover. In some cases, you may need to open your passport and place your device on the inside of the passport. To read the chip on a U.S. passport, open the back cover and place the phone about 1/3 down from the top. You can move the phone around until it picks up the chip. 8. Snøhetta has designed a mixed-use building in Hong Kong, named Airside. Situated in the center of the former Kai Tak airport with views over the Victoria Harbour and Kai Tak River, this 176,000 square meters building merges a 200-meter tower with a base in one continuous form. The project will be Snøhetta’s first built project in Hong Kong. Located on top of the new Kai Tak metro station and in proximity to other public transport interchanges, the building will serve as the main gateway to the Kai Tak development in Hong Kong, while offering visitors access to ample public spaces through a series of exterior plazas and roof top gardens. A gently curving facade composed of fluted glass is evocative of the textile that anchored Nan Fung Group's historic industry, and is present throughout the project from the façade to the interior and landscape design. To support the thousands of people that flow through the Kai Tak metro station on a daily basis, the building’s retail space at the base is designed to accommodate this intense pedestrian traffic. In order to achieve this, the continuous building mass is composed of five volumes that step up from the Kai Tak River and culminates in the tower. The building’s unique shape creates a series of human-scale urban spaces at grade, and rooftop gardens which have stunning views of the Victoria Harbour and the Kai Tak park. The building further offers visitors access to generous public spaces and green gardens through a series of exterior plazas and roof top gardens suited for urban farming, restaurants, events and recreation. At the heart of the building one finds a spacious retail atrium of almost 66,000 square meters filled with natural light. This central atrium space culminates in a rooftop garden, above which a tower tops out at 200 meters containing more than 110.000 square meters of grade A office space, retail spaces, as well as provisions for a hotel. Both the tower and the base gently step down towards the southernmost corner, revealing and connecting the rooftops to the surrounding plaza and riverside promenade. Source by Snøhetta. Passengers at Brisbane Airport will notice a new look fleet of vehicles enhancing safety across the airfield. Distinctive yellow Airside Safety Vehicles are replacing plain white utes which have been used for decades at BNE. “There is an obvious safety benefit. The striking yellow design is far more visible when viewed across the airfield, from the Air Traffic Control Tower or from aircraft. We also want to differentiate ourselves from the dozens of other white service vehicles that operate across the airport,” says Brisbane Airport Corporation Head of Airside Operations, Peter Dunlop. Brisbane airport has 10 Airside Safety Vehicles. A team of 28 Airside Safety Officers monitor Brisbane Airport 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. At any one time, 5-8 Airside Safety Vehicles are on duty at BNE. “We do not want to blend in. Our aim is to stand out and really be that powerful safety reminder right across Brisbane Airport,” says Peter. Roles of Airside Safety Officer and their vehicles: - Conduct inspections of runways, taxiways, aprons, and the tarmac to ensure safety - Collect foreign objects which may pose a danger to aircraft - Provide “follow-me” assistance for aircraft during poor weather conditions or to pilots unfamiliar with the airport - Deter wildlife from runways and taxiways to ensure passenger safety - Enforce compliance of safety standards across the airport All Brisbane Airport Airside Safety Vehicles are equipped with: - VHF Radio - UHF Radio - Hand-held radios - ADSB Transponder - Digital “Follow-me” signage - Strobe lights - Sirens - iPad for real-time safety reporting - Binoculars - Spill kit - Bird management tools - Snake handling equipment - First aid kit - Fire extinguisher - Blankets for relocating wildlife Airside Safety Officers train for the role in simulators to become accustomed with the 27 kilometres of roads, taxiways and runways inside Brisbane Airport and the conditions they may encounter. The new paint scheme also includes large scale numbers for easy identification, especially when pilots are asked to follow specific vehicles. “The idea for the colour change came from our safety officers who are passionate about safety at Brisbane Airport, so they’re really excited to see the brand new vehicles arrive.” The yellow vehicles will be progressively rolled out across the BNE fleet.

A closer look at the activities that take place on the airside of the Seychelles International Airport
At AT&T we have an airside pass for Heathrow which enables us to deliver to contractors working at sites on the customs and security cleared side of the airport such as Arrivals and Departure areas. We have dedicated members of staff and vans that have the correct permits and I.D to be able to deliver to these locations. We have the ability to take anything from small boxes to full vans airside. Each vehicle gets x-rayed and checked allowing the consignments to then be delivered to the contractor’s location. Usually the contractor would have to go through security clearance for each delivery, costing valuable time meeting the courier outside the airport and then having to take deliveries through the security checking procedure themselves.
