SYNOLOGY NVME смотреть последние обновления за сегодня на .
With the DS923+ launch, Synology has FINALLY started supporting the creation of M.2 NVMe SSD pools. Prior to this release, the M.2 SSDs were only available to be used as cache. While we applaud the progress, this is very much a half-step forward by Synology. Currently, the DS923+ is the only DiskStation that supports M.2 SSD storage pools; however, we hope that Synology will continue down this road and start adding M.2 NVMe storage pool support for most of its future releases. Also, only Synology SSDs are supported, which cap out at 400GB. More info here - 🤍

The Synology DS920+ 4-Bay NAS Drive Hardware Review 🤍 Synology NAS - SATA vs NVMe SSD Caching Tests - 🤍 When the new Synology Diskstation series was revealed a few weeks ago, I think it was safe to say that it got peoples attention! The previous 18+ series of NAS had been around since September 2017 and many users were starting to get worried about choosing the older generation or holding out for a brand new announcement of something bigger and better to come. During this time, the unit that seemed to get the most mention, was the DS920+, a follow up to the remarkably popular DS918+ (possibly one of the most popular diskstation NAS they have ever put out) and one that provides a fantastic balance of hardware on day 1, upgradability down the line and excellent access to the award-winning Diskstation Manager (DSM) software platform. The full release date of the Synology DS920+ NAS is still to be confirmed in Europe and the US, however, you can still find it listed for sale in some regions of the world. Which brings me to today's review of the Synology DS920+ NAS, which is currently on very limited sale in Japan. Thanks to the wonderful world of the internet, worldwide logistics and most of all, the huge assistance of 'Takeo from Tokyo' - find this hero on Reddit here) I can bring you the hardware review (software review coming soon) of the brand new expandable 4-Bay from Synology and their 2020 series. As mentioned previously, this new NAS is in someway a good jump forward in hardware abilities, and a smaller step in others. There is no denying that it is one of the best NAS drives they have put out for a while, but the main questions to answer in today's review are, is this a better choice of the DS918+ NAS that came before it (and perhaps might be a pinch cheaper now) and if you are a current owner of the DS918+, is the DS920+ enough of an upgrade to warrant trading up? Let's take a look at the hardware and find out. This description contains links to Amazon. These links will take you to some of the products mentioned in today's video. M.2 NVMe SSDs are insanely fast and have completely changed the way I think about SSD Caching on Synology NAS. Previously with 2.5 inch SATA SSD's SSD caching on Synology NAS was only useful for truly random workflows, due to the fact that sequential reads were slower on the SSD than the array of disks. However with M.2 NVMe SSDs this is no longer the case, due to their insane speed. #NVMeSSD #Synology #ReadWriteCache Hire Me! 🤍 Join the Discord! 🤍 Get Early Access to Videos! 🤍 How to install NVMe SSDs cache in DS1621+ 🤍 Performance testing NVMe SSDs: 🤍 M.2 SSDs I recommend for Synology: Synology Branded (Most compatible & expensive) 🤍 IronWolf (Good mix of support and price) 🤍 SK Hynix (best bang for your buck, may have compatibility issues) 🤍

Synology DS923+ upgrade everything video as promised. In this video we are going to upgrade every component on the Synology DS923+ that's upgradable. Synology DS923+ Upgrade Everything video will revolve around these major components: NVME drives, the Synology proprietary 10gb network card and RAM. For NVME drives, we are going to use the Synology SNV3400 drive since we do want to use these as an NVME volume, but for pure caching, you can use any brand of devices. For 10bg networking we are going to install the Synology E10G22-T1-Mini, as this the only device that is compatible with the DS923+. This card can do 10gb but also 5bg and 2.5gb. For RAM we are going to use 32gb of ECC DDR4 we got from Amazon. Keep in mind, using non Synology RAM modules will void your warranty. If you are ok with that you can use any ECC DDR4 sodimm modules you find. We hope this Synology DS923+ Upgrade Everything video will be informative for you and that you have been successful in upgrading your Synology DS923+ without any issues. Synology DS920+, DS220+, DS720+ and DS420+ NAS – 🤍 — JUNE 2020 UPDATE – THE REVIEWS ARE IN! DS920+ NAS Review - 🤍 DS220+ NAS Review - 🤍 DS420+ NAS Review - 🤍 DS720+ NAS Review - 🤍 I am pleased to confirm that the hardware and software reviews on the brand new Synology DS920+, DS220+, DS420+ and DS720+ NAS Drive are in. If you are thinking about choosing one of them for your new/first NAS Drive purchase, why not check out the reviews below: Chances are that even if you have the most tangential interest in the world of storage, servers, NAS and data in general, you will have heard of Synology and their disk station series. Currently considered by many to be the biggest company in the field of network-attached storage, Synology and their Diskstation hardware and software are a company that is not quick to release new hardware – preferring to make the most of their existing hardware portfolio and then releasing software updates and improvement to their award-winning platform with regularity. However, their existing range of Synology 2-Bay and 4Bay NAS just got a massive shake-up for 2020 with the leak of 4 brand new NAS drives for release later this year. Great news for those of us who have been keeping our eyes peeled for news on the newest generation of Synology NAS, with a leak on the data sheets on the 2020 gen NAS – the DS920+, the DS220+, DS720+ and DS420 NAS. These new 2 and 4 Bay range devices are ones that many of us have been keeping a watchful eye out for, as well as the import/export documents that were leaked last week here on NASCompares, and although this is by no means an official or orthodox announcement, they look genuine and seem to indicate the release of the brand new range of Diskstation NAS for summer 2020. et’s take a good look at each NAS and everything we have learnt. Synology SNV3400 NVMe 400GB SSD for NAS Review – Worth Your Cache? 🤍 As many of you may no doubt be aware, one of the biggest brands in the world of network-attached storage, Synology, recently took the bold step of entering the world of solid-state drive media. In recent weeks we have seen them bring a selection of SATA and NVMe based SSD to the Prosumer and Enterprise server market. Whilst this brand is one that has been heavily associated with the traditional hardware of the network services over the years, this bold move into the world of providing the SSD media themselves should not come as a huge surprise really. In the last two generations of Synology server hardware, we have seen huge developments in their architecture to incorporate the performance improvements provided by intelligent storage caching. In fact, almost all of their 2020 and 2021 hardware releases support SATA and/or NVMe supported SSD Media in numerous forms from dedicated caching bays and upgrade cards, too fully tailored flash-optimised solutions in their flashstation series. Therefore, one could argue that Synology could have entered this market a great deal sooner. Today I want to look at the new NVMee SSD that Synology has produced for both Diskstations and Rackstation use, as well as to support the latest generation of cache card upgrades in the E10M20-T1 (review here) and M2D20 card (review here). Although there will be obvious comparisons to be drawn between this new SNV3400 SSD and those of the Seagate iIonwolf 510 and Samsung 970 ranges, Synology maintains that their new range of SSD is designed with caching solely in my mind. As it stands, the Synology NAS platform only allows utility of NVMee SSD for caching in the portfolio of NAS systems, with the SATA Synology SSD range (SAT5200) supporting both caching and raw storage utilisation in their traditional NAS and flashstation series. It is with this in mind that when comparing against other SSD, we have to look at three key areas, those of durability, sustained lifetime performance and IOPS. The long awaited DS923+ has just come out. But that does not mean its the best around. For most users the DS1522+ will be a much better investment due to having an extra bay and 2x the Ram for just 15% more money. Overall the DS923+ might not be the go to unit that the DS920+ once was. Synology DS1621xs+ NAS Drive Review 🤍 To say that I have looked at a lot of different devices over the years would be a fantastic understatement. Nevertheless, when I finally got my hands on the new Synology DS1621xs+ NAS drive, I have to admit I was excited. For those of you that have followed the Synology NAS brand over the years, along with numerous positive aspects of both their hardware and software series, there has always been one subject of which they have been fantastically abstinent in pursuing at the desktop level - 10Gbe. The subject of desktop profile solutions that are equipped with 10Gbe is something that Synology has resisted for an incredibly long time. That isn't to say that they hey have never pursued 10 gigabit at all, from a series of well equipped upgrade PCIe cards that enable the 10 x Nick connection, to numerous rackmount solutions that arrived with the sport, they do understand it's value. However the Synology DS1621xs+ is the first Intel powered desktop solution with 10Gbe they have ever released, as well as bringing numerous other Synology brand hardware options to the mix. With it slightly intimidating price tag, it is quite the investment on day one. so today, let's take a good look at the Synology DS1621xs+ 10g Nas and decide if it's deserves your data.
