Ambientportal is the musical direction of Mykl Neufeld, and a rotating line up of guest artist. He had been Djing for 12 years. Starting on the East coast in New York, spinning Gothic/Dark wave movement under the DJ name Raven. After becoming the house DJ for the Anne Rice Vampire Lestat parties 4 years running in New Orleans, he took a different turn in his music and went back to his first love, ambient music.
He remembers listening to great acts in the early 90’s like Irresistible Force/ S.E.T.I/ Alio Die/ Steve Roach/ Terre Thaemlitz/ Omicron and others on the great San Francisco label Silent Records.
Ambient music is a special place for him to dream of new worlds and new places to take listeners to. Take the journey with him.
