Born on February 5, 1868 in Heinävesi, Finland. A Finnish composer.
His most known compositions are the christmas songs "Varpunen Jouluaamuna" (lyrics by Zacharias Topelius) and "Kun Joulu On" (lyrics by his childhood friend Alpo Noponen). In addition he composed music for horns, violin, piano, choirs and theater plays.
Died on August 9, 1936 in Helsinki, Finland.
