Influential and uncompromising, Nigel Ayers chooses to remain underground even as his ideas are continuously appropriated by ambitious pop culture surface dwellers. Since founding the UK art music ensemble Nocturnal Emissions in 1980, Nigel has established an incredible discography of music that is as diverse as Nocturnal Emissions is durable.
Ayers co-ran [l=Sterile Records with Caroline K between 1979 and 1986. This was followed by the [l=Earthly Delights label.
